                      REGISTRATION & REQUIREMENTS QUESTIONS

-Does my Dad have to pay the registration fee if he is just bringing me, and only going to watch?
No. Only players (participants) are required to pay the registration fee. You can bring whoever you like, and the only charge is for camping ($5). Only if they play, do they have to fully register. If you are a player, your guests are also welcome to camp with you as long as they like!

-Do I have to sign a waiver if I'm over 18?
Everyone who enters the playing field, whether player or spectator, must sign a waiver. You must also wear ATSM approved paintball goggles if you enter the playing field for any reason.

-What do I get for my $70 entrance fee?
Your fee entitles you to play for the entire week if you would like. You will be entered in a number of drawings for prizes. Your air is paid for the entire week. You can participate in any of the activities without extra fee's, except the sniper course ($18 extra).

-What is the age limit, and what waiver's do my parents need to sign?
10 years of age, or older. Your parents must sign your waiver, not you. We would prefer 15 or older if not accompanied by parents.

-Are there any units (such as Airborne) that require a certain age? If so, what is it?
Yes. Several units, beginning in 2007, will require you to be 15 years of age or older. These units are:
Allies: 82nd, 101st, All Rangers, All Pathfinders, Commonwealth Airbourne, and British 41st Royal Marines.
Germans: 6th Fallschirmjaegers, Brandenburg Kommandos, 1058th MEK, and the Geisterjaegers

-What if I'm 14 now, but will be 15 by the event?
That is fine. As long as you are 15 years old, or will be by the time you arrive at D-Day, you meet the minimum age requirement for these units.

-Hey, I'm only 13, but I've been in the 101st last year! Why can't I sign up now?
Unfortunately, we had to make some sort of ruling to help prevent the massive amount of heat casualties we've been suffering. This was the best way we could come up with, without having to extend the event (to account for a full obstacle course, physical readiness evaluation). If you can come up with a better option that doesn't take much time and won't stretch the already beaten staff further, please let us know in the Staff Meeting. Maybe we can implement it for 2009.

                                        FACILITY QUESTIONS

-Can I reserve a camping site?
Unfortunately, no. We have over 100 acres to camp on, and it is first come, first choice. There will be plenty of room. You will be assigned an area to camp in when you check in. You will be placed with other players from your unit according the the Unit Camping Map [Link forthcoming].

-Is there camping, showers, restrooms, and how much does it cost?
Yes, we have showers and restrooms. Starting in 2008, there is a $5.00 fee to camp. This fee is to offset the cost of trash, water, and to help improve the camping grounds in general. We will also have potable water available for all campers as well. Campers and RV's are welcome in the camping area. Generators are permitted, but we ask you turn them off by 10pm or set up camp in the All-Night Generator Area of the Campground. Also visit our Camping page.

-Can we have campfires and cook our own food?
Campfires will be allowed with a fire ring, or Coleman-style stove etc. You can bring food to cook also. You will not be 'required' to eat at the D-Day field. We of course, encourage you to try our vendors & the Cafe D-Day. They will have some great food. Plus, who wants to cook breakfast at 4 am on Saturday morning?

                                   BEFORE THE GAME STARTS

-Do I have to sign a waiver if I'm over 18?
Everyone who enters the playing field, whether player or spectator, must sign a waiver. You must also wear ASTM approved paintball goggles if you enter the playing field for any reason.

-Do I have to complete the special mission course(includes obstacle course), to be in a special unit?
Yes. All special units, which include; Pathfinders, Rangers, & Kommandos. The reason is two fold: To build team spirit, and camaraderie. Also, to make sure you are capable and physically able to carry out the special missions that these units will participate in. Unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions to this rule. The course will be on Wednesday and Thursday.

                                        GAME QUESTIONS

-Can I take pictures or movies on the playing field?
You are allowed to take pics and movies for your own personal use, not for sale to others or redistribution. The Bunker also asks that you provide them with a courtesy copy of all digital media that you took and did not delete immediately.

-Can I use night vision equipment for the night game?
Yes. However, you cannot remove your paintball mask for any reason while on the field. It is dangerous, and if a referee sees you, you will be told to leave the field. Our eyes and ears are very precious. Don't take a chance on loosing or damaging either.

-When does the first game actually start?
H-Hour, Oklahoma D-Day will be 09:00 am Saturday. That is when 'Game On' is sounded. Germans will begin loading in the buses at 07:00 am, and other special forces units will load as early as 6:30 am. You MUST go through safety orientation to play, and that means you have to be there no later than Friday (Schedule of Events). There will be activities all week though that you can participate in that are included in your registration fee. Check the Schedule of Events page, and if you have any other questions let us know.

-What are the boundaries?
The D-Day map [Link forthcoming] on this website will show you the playing field. The only boundaries are, not being able to use the camping area, or anything east of the playing field as a route of play. There will only be 3 entries onto the field. If you are caught using any other entrance to the field, you could be expelled from the game. The North and South fences are there, and if you go over them, you probably won't be playing much as that is very rough terrain.

-What happens when I get shot?
You will be required to go to a 'Dead Zone' (DZ). You will then be recycled back into the game on the hour and 1/2 hour.

-What team, unit will I be on?
If you preregister, you can choose your unit. 1st to register, 1st choice. Once the units get full, we will start posting their unavailability. If you wait until you get here to register, you will be put in a unit that needs you. These selections will be random. But you can still have a great time no matter what team your on. It is best to preregister, especially if you have a particular unit you would like to be in.

-Will there be HPA/CO2 at the Dead zones, and to what PSI?
Yes, up to 4500psi at specific dead zones. We will have mobile air stations that fill to 3000 as well. These are marked on the D-Day Map.

-Will there be ice and water available?
Yes. We are going to get an ice company truck so you can buy bags of ice. We will have good drinking water at all dead zones and at other stations around the battle field. We will be trucking in potable water this year. We will have several buffalo trucks at dead zones, along with many other options for water on the battlefield. We still highly recommend carrying some sort of water container, such as a camel bak, or canteen(s).

                                    EQUIPMENT QUESTIONS

-Can I use paint grenades?
Yes, you can bring paint, and smoke grenades. However, you must use field paint in all other circumstances. In other words, paintballs. Also, all heavy weapons ammo must be made on site. NO HOMEMADE GRENADES of any kind. Only manufactured units will be allowed, we are allowing Scepter Systems. Any other questions concerning heavy weapons, please contact Bill Bailey at: willimoalso@aol.com or Dwayne "Zeke" Ezekiel[/i] at dezekiel@bulksak.com

-Can we use land mines, or smoke grenades?
Yes to both questions. The only restriction is on smoke grenades. If it happens to be dry (which it shouldn't be), smoke grenades will be prohibited, and even if it isn't, NO HOT SMOKE! We will announce this at the event. Both will be available from vendors or you can bring your own. NO HOMEMADE GRENADES of any kind. Only manufactured units will be allowed, we are allowing Scepter Systems.

-Can I use a gun with a response trigger, and or use my gun on automatic?

Quote from: Jeremy
Our official ruling on rate of fire this year [2007] is: NO FULL AUTO. This means if you hold down on the trigger and it continues to fire on its own it is not allowed. RT does NOT fall under this. Ramping does not fall under this, BUT anyone abusing any mode of fire will risk being removed from the feild. Safety first.

-Can I use a laser sight?
You cannot use a laser pointer sight. It could damage a person's retina if accidentally shined in their eyes. However, some sights have a laser dot in the viewfinder, these may be used. As long as a beam does not project from the sight.

-Do you have markers for rent?
At this time, all of our markers are reserved. You can check with us when you arrive to see if any are available. There will be plenty of vendors there, and they will have some good deals on markers as well.

-Can we use the RAP4, .40 or .43 caliber paintball guns?
No. Only .68 caliber this year. Insurance will not allow the .40 or .43 due to safety, and we cannot get paint for them at a reasonable price. This in itself will prohibit their use since everyone must use the paint our supplier provides. We apologize for this inconvenience, and hope you have a .68 cal marker, or can borrow one for the game.

-Can I use my electronic marker?
Yes, but remember that any full-auto, or version of it is not allowed. That means your marker must be in semi-auto, ramping, response trigger, etc. No full-auto, 3/6 round bursts, etc.

-What kind of paint, how much, and can I bring my own?
We will have several grades of paint this year. Starting at $65 a case for the premium grade paint and going up to $75 (or more) for tournament grade. You cannot bring your own paint. YOU MUST USE FIELD PAINT. Failure to follow this rule will result in expulsion from the game.

-Will nerf rockets be used this year?
No. Insurance forbids it since someone used a wooden nerf in another scenario game.

-What about mortars against infantry?
Yes again, but the inclination MUST 45 degrees or greater. The potential for injury is too great to allow any other inclination. Please follow these rules for the safety of all the players. Please check on our Tank Page for more information regarding mortars and heavy weapons.

-Can I use a paint/smoke grenade launcher?
Yes, but at this time only Scepter Combat Systems Launchers are approved for use at D-Day. All other grenades must be hand thrown, and you are NOT allowed to fire smoke grenades from ANY launcher. Launchers could knock a person's mask off, or even knock them out!

                                MISCELLANEOUS QUESTIONS

-Do you provide transportation to and from any airport, and which one?
We plan to hire in a Shuttle Service to pick up and drop off players that are flying in to local airports. Details will be released prior to the event.

-What vendors will be at the event?
Since Vendors are continuously being added up to the time of the event, please visit the Vendor's Page for more details.

-Is there any additional charge for riding the 'tour' buses on the playing field?
No. It is free. Donations will be accepted.

-Can I take pictures or movies on the playing field?
You are allowed to take pics and movies for your own personal use, not for sale to others or redistribution. The Bunker Extreme asks that you provide a copy of all digital and/or video media to them, as well.

-Can I be an officer or commander?
All positions of command, from squad leader to company commanders are decided, and appointed by the Divisional Commanders. Divisional commanders are selected and appointed by Dewayne. This doesn't mean that if all your officers are 'dead' that you can't lead your unit to victory. You will know your objectives. Go take em!!!

-This portion of the FAQ is player contributed. They are answers to the most common questions found on the forum.

-How much money should I bring?
This question can only be answered by you. Only you know your playing style. So we cant tell you how much you need to bring for ammo. Paint costs $65 or $75 (per case of 2000) so at the very least bring enough money for one case, but its good to plan for at least enough to pay for 2 cases.

-The other factor you need to weigh in on the money issue, is food. How are you going to eat? Are you going to buy groceries and cook your own food, or are you going to rely of vendors for food?

-Food can be bought purely on-site. Most of the vendors as well as the D-Day Cafe have reasonable prices. They cost about the same as fast food places, but have better food (at least in health, and usually in taste).

-Do you plan on buying equipment or gear while you are there?

-How much paint do I need?
Expect to use at least one case of paint during the game. If you are going to play any of the mini-scenarios or a pickup game on the speedball field, you will need additional paint. In that case, you should plan on a minimum of two cases of paint.

-What Unit should I join?

This is entirely up to you. Your first step in choosing a unit is to choose a army. Your basic choices are German, or Allied. IF you go Allied you have some more options, You can go Commonwealth (British, Canadian), American, or French. Germans don't have that same type of national division of the Allies, but they have a whole myriad of Units. The third step, is to read over the unit descriptions found on the main page, or ask around to get a description. A good place to get this kind of info is in the Recruiting Depot. Once you find a unit you are interested in, contact that unit commander for more detailed explanation of what they do and to find out how many, if any, player slots are available. Units have player size caps, especially in some more elite unit.

-Are Nerf rocked launchers allowed at d-day? What kind of launchers are legal?
Nerf launchers are and Nerf (Vortex) Rockets NOT allowed at Oklahoma D-day. Unfortunately, that privilege was taken away after some careless individuals at another scenario game fired a WOODEN rocket, instead of the nerf rockets. The insurance for Oklahoma D-day prohibited their use. Sorry, but thats just the way it is.

-As of this writing, the only approved launcher of any kind is Scepter brand launchers and mortars. Any other launchers must be approved by Jeremy BEFORE the game. By before, we mean MONTHS not a few days. IF you wait until arrival at d-day to try and get a launcher approved, it wont happen. The staff is extremely busy, and don't have time.

-Well if LAW style launchers are disallowed, what do we do for Anti Tank weaponry?
Players are allowed to make a P'zooka that is simply a Marker in a PVC pipe, set to specific dimensions and standards. These standard vary from army to army, the full rules can be found at the link below.

-What will the weather be like?
Oklahoma summers, in June, are HOT. Very hot, and very humid. Plan on more heat than you can think is possible. This means HYDRATION. You will hear the words "DRINK WATER" and "HYDRATE" so much you will be sick of the word, but the fact is, hydration is CRITICAL at Oklahoma d-day. You should be drinking at the very least a liter an hour. It would be far better for you if you drank more.

-Oklahoma in June, can and is prone to inclement weather. June is right in the middle of the first of two tornado seasons in Oklahoma, and one is a possibility. More likely is the possibility of thunderstorms. Plan for rain, and you wont go home sorry and soaked. The game continues, even in the event of a storm, so be prepared.

-What activities are there to do during the week?
There are two mini games a day plus there is two speedball courses running during the night. To decent sized cities are within 30 to 40 min. Branson, MO is only an hour and a half away.

-Can we bring/use flares at OK D-Day?
No. This falls under the "No Pyrotechnics" rule. The chances of a fire in the woods are too great, so only trained and certified pyrotechnic personnel should use these items. Since we will not be able to determine who is trained ahead of time, and recognizing you will be next to impossible on the field, there is just a blanket rule of "no".
